ECB says job saving schemes delay recovery

In Germany, more than 1m workers are on short-time schemes. In France, 200,000 workers were on chômage partiel – temporarily laid off or on reduced hours – in the first three months of the year – equivalent to 0.7 per cent of the workforce, according to Insee, the statistics agency.
