The Price of Knowledge
Lifting tuition caps lets universities grow independently of Westminster. The British Government's proposal to uncap tuition fees for universities is a step in the right direction, but it's been met with howls of outrage from many, who argue that allowing universities to charge more will reduce access to higher education in the U.K. The Conservatives' Liberal Democrat coalition partners, who campaigned on "free" higher education, have threatened to vote the bill down, as their coalition agreement permits.
