La chancelière ne veut pas diviser le marché unique, séparer les pays européens en pays de première et de deuxième classe. En réalité, Mme Merkel s'est vu reprocher en Allemagne de subir une tentative hégémonique française. La crise grecque a permis à un trio de Français, M. Sarkozy, le président de la BCE, Jean-Claude Trichet, et le directeur général du FMI d'imposer que l'on viole l'esprit du traité de Maastricht, en renflouant les Etats du sud de l'Europe avec l'aide de la BCE. Toutes les garanties données aux Allemands depuis vingt ans pour qu'ils abandonnent le deutschemark ont été de facto bafouées en un trimestre. “Bientôt en voiture électrique, Simone ?”
On parle beaucoup ces derniers temps des véhicules électriques (VE). Deux événements récents ont contribué à stimuler cette technologie : l’adoption du paquet énergie-climat ainsi que la crise financière et économique. Cette crise a débouché sur l’élaboration d’un Plan européen pour la relance économique, lequel propose une initiative visant à promouvoir des technologies plus propres dans le secteur automobile. Se basant sur des études récentes, le Bureau fédéral du Plan a réalisé une première analyse quantitative du développement des véhicules électriques et des incidences que la politique climatique pourrait avoir sur ce développement. Il a également mesuré l’impact de plusieurs taux de pénétration des véhicules électriques sur la future demande en électricité.

Tax Freedom Day 2010 falls on 8 June for the second year in a row
Based on the latest data from the Federal Planning Bureau, this date falls again, for the second year in a row already now, on 8 June, while it felt on 10 June for three years before that. This means that despite all changes that were supposed or rumoured to reduce taxes like “personal tax reductions”, the “notional interest deduction”, the “VAT grouping”, the various “tax deductions for individuals” and so on, the overall tax burden in Belgium has remained stable.
Unfortunately, the move forward of last year that was consolidated this year is not an effect of a reduction of our substantial tax burden. Rather, the shift forward by 2 days is merely the result of the mathematical effect of the calculation method which is being influenced by the current economic downturn.
This is the fifth year in a row that we have computed Belgium’s “Tax Freedom Day”, the day on which the inhabitants of the country truly start working for themselves – all productive work up to that date having been needed to pay the burden of taxes.
